Protect Google Workspace

In today blog are we going to explain how and why you should protect your Google Workspaces.
But before we even start, let’s understand what is Google Workspace?

Google Workspace is a cloud-based productivity suite that includes a range of online applications such as Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and more. Formerly known as G Suite, it allows users to create and collaborate on documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and other files in real-time. With Google Workspace, teams can work together on projects regardless of their location and access their work from any device with an internet connection.

Google Workspace offers a variety of features, including video conferencing, calendar scheduling, and task management, making it a versatile tool for businesses, schools, and individuals. It also includes security features such as two-factor authentication and data encryption to ensure that user data is protected. Google Workspace is available as a subscription service, with different pricing plans depending on the size and needs of the organization or user.

So literately is google workspace a version of Microsoft 365 but from Google instead of Microsoft.

As we all know doesn’t Microsoft 365 is not including any data protection except hardware failure, but if you loss your data, example a ransomware attack or delete users/data of mistake Microsoft does not backup your data so they can restore your data in case you need that data back.

What about Google?

While Google Workspace has measures in place to protect your data from ransomware and data loss, it's still recommended to have a backup strategy in place. This can help ensure that you have an extra layer of protection and can quickly recover data in the event of a disaster. Additionally, having a backup can give you peace of mind and help you comply with industry regulations or legal requirements, and if you delete a user account all there data will be lost and Google will or can not restore that data for you.
